Direct the camera
Create cinematic shots, set timing, aim targets, lens, depth of field and movement from Camera Director.
» BLENDER EXTENSION
CineStage brings camera direction, animation blocking, IK/FK control, smart pivots, scene fog, stage assets and ready 3D environments into one focused Blender workflow. Build the shot, shape the scene and keep production moving without jumping between disconnected tools.
Built for cinematic storytelling
CineStage keeps the creative decisions that matter to a shot close together: camera, timing, animation, staging and atmosphere.
Create cinematic shots, set timing, aim targets, lens, depth of field and movement from Camera Director.
Work with rigs or objects, organize Animation Shots and control timing from Animation Director.
Add backgrounds, atmosphere, custom media and complete 3D environments without leaving the CineStage workflow.
Use IK/FK tools, Smart Pivot, Scene Fog, timeline utilities and project checks to keep iteration focused.
» WORKFLOW
Start with Stage Assets, custom media or one of CineStage's included 3D environments.
Create or use a camera, choose the subject, set the frame range and shape the camera move.
Use Animation Director for rig or object animation, Animation Shots, timing and IK/FK switching.
Refine pivots, camera feel, focus and Scene Fog while keeping the shot in context.
Use timeline display and project health tools to review the scene and continue refining with confidence.

PRODUCT DETAILS
Clear product information, included content and licensing details before you install CineStage.
Blender itself is not included. Third-party models, characters, props, textures or free BlenderKit assets that may appear in promotional screenshots or videos are demonstration content only unless they are explicitly listed above as bundled CineStage content.
GETTING STARTED
CineStage uses Blender's extension package workflow and keeps its main tools in the 3D Viewport sidebar.
DOCUMENTATION
A practical overview of what each CineStage area is for and where it fits into the workflow.
Use Camera Director when the shot itself is the priority. Create a new cinematic shot or use an existing camera, assign a target and control shot timing, movement, framing and composition.
Lens & Focus provides focal-length presets, custom focal length and depth of field. Camera Keys let you key the rig/camera separately from the Aim Target, while Camera Feel adds follow smoothing, look-ahead and handheld motion where supported by the selected shot type.
Animation Director supports both rig animation and object animation. For character work, choose the rig and manage Animation Shots as clear blocks on the timeline instead of treating the full animation as one unstructured action.
Create the first shot, add the next shot, edit existing shot ranges and use timing tools as needed. Object Animation provides keying, looping, reverse, slow-motion and rigid-body helpers for non-character animation.
Select the limb controls you want to convert and switch them to FK or IK. CineStage first tries the rig native snapping method when one is available, then falls back to supported mapped controls.
The switch can be keyed and applied to the current frame, the open motion shot or a custom frame range. Full Rig Mode provides the same workflow across supported limbs when the rig exposes suitable IK/FK controls.
Smart Pivot creates a temporary pivot for animation adjustments that would otherwise require restructuring controls or adding a permanent rig helper.
Create the pivot at the active selected bone or at the 3D Cursor, animate the pivot, then use Bake & Remove Pivot to transfer the result and clean up the temporary pivot workflow.
Scene Fog is CineStage's dedicated atmospheric fog workflow. It is designed to add controllable depth and separation to cinematic scenes without mixing the controls into unrelated stage settings.
Create or enable the CineStage fog, choose the desired style and refine the available fog controls for the shot. The fog can be disabled without deleting the setup, making comparison and iteration easier.
Stage Assets provides ready transparent Background and Atmosphere categories plus Custom Media. These are intended for fast staging, previs and cinematic scene building.
Choose an asset, add it to the scene and adjust distance, scale, vertical placement, brightness or opacity. Face Camera keeps a card oriented toward the camera; Follow Camera can also move it with the camera. Custom Media accepts common image, GIF and video formats.
The Environments category adds complete 3D starting points directly from Stage Assets. The package includes CineMart, Cinematic Tunnel 3D and Studio Backlot in the referenced CineStage release line.
Add or replace an environment, use the environment camera when useful and place selected objects on the environment ground. The environment tools keep the preset organized so it can be reset or removed as a unit.
LICENSING & CONTENT
CineStage Python source code is distributed under GNU GPL v3.0 or later. The source is included with the add-on package, consistent with Blender add-on licensing requirements.
Bundled original CineStage visual assets are licensed separately for use in personal or commercial Blender projects and rendered end products. The standalone asset files may not be redistributed or resold as an asset pack or competing add-on.
Some promotional examples may use freely available BlenderKit or other third-party scene assets to demonstrate CineStage in context. Those demonstration assets are not redistributed as part of CineStage unless explicitly identified as included content.
FAQ
No. CineStage is an add-on / extension that runs inside Blender and adds its workflow to the Blender interface.
The current CineStage release line targets Blender 5.2 or newer. Always check the software-version field on the Superhive product listing before installing a newer release.
Yes, CineStage animation tools are designed to work with Blender rigs and its IK/FK tools can use a rig native snapping method when available. Exact IK/FK behavior depends on how the rig exposes its controls and switches.
Yes. Custom Media supports common image formats, GIF and video so you can bring your own stage media into the CineStage workflow.
No. Only content explicitly listed as included with CineStage is part of the package. Third-party or free BlenderKit content may be used in promotional scenes for demonstration.
Yes. The add-on code is GPL-licensed, and the bundled CineStage visual asset license allows use in personal or commercial Blender projects and rendered end products, subject to the redistribution restrictions described above.
The installed CineStage core tools and bundled content work locally. An internet connection is still needed when you download the product, obtain updates or access online support.
Product support and release updates are provided through the CineStage Superhive listing and DESIGNIC support channels.
